TASIS Les Tapies Summer Program

Client: TASIS, The American International school in England Aim: To produce a commercial to attract more students to the summer program I have been working as a school cinematographer for the past four years. Based on my outstanding filming skills, I was offered to film a commercial for TASIS England’s summer program in the mountains of Ardèche, France, in July 2016. Before the trip, many meetings were held with the head of the marketing of my school and head of the summer program to establish expectations for the final product. This project helped me understand the importance of collaboration in group projects and also heightened my sense of commitment and perseverance to tasks set before me. While shooting, all the interviews had to be pre-planned and expectations were communicated to students so that the commercial would make the program more attractive to others. At the end of each day, I had to organize all the gained footage into different folders and break up the interviews into several parts, to make it easier to find the needed parts in post-production. The commercial was filmed on Sony FDR-AX100E and DJI Phantom 4 drone. Post-production in Final Cut Pro X.
